ETCP Certified Rigger: Theatre, ETCP Recognized Training: Rigging
Delbert Hall is a professor of theatre and dance at East Tennessee State University and has been its scenic designer since 1986. He is also the director of ETSU’s Aerial Dance program. Dr. Hall earned his Ph.D. from the University of Florida. He is an ETCP Certified Rigger and an ETCP Recognized Trainer. Delbert is also the President and COO of D2 Flying Effects. He has flown performers in over 300 productions nationally, including productions at many of the major regional theatre companies in the US, and on the national tour of Wicked. He recently worked with director/choreographer Debbie Allen doing the flying effects for Twist: An American Musical produced by the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. Delbert is also the author of RigCalc, an app (both iPhone/iPad and Android versions) that contains a comprehensive group of tools for entertainment riggers.
