When Jeremy Hochman started a furniture company while still in college he had no idea that his light-up coffee table design would give birth to the Creative LED industry, but that’s exactly what happened. You could say a lightbulb went off and he hasn’t looked back. Hochman quickly pivoted this little furniture company to found Element Labs in 2002. Developing LED products that graced award-winning music videos, concert tours, and infamous Super Bowl Halftime Shows (hello, wardrobe malfunction), Element Labs became not only an industry leader but a constant industry disruptor. Since selling the company in 2010, Hochman has built another R&D group from the ground up and continues to push boundaries by collaborating with designers and architects to incorporate his technologies into some of the most ambitious projects around the world. With a keen eye for using his product development and design expertise to solve impossible problems, he also still uses these skill sets to build impossibly comfortable furniture on the weekends.
