Mark Mongold
Director of Production
Mr. Mongold has worked for numerous dance companies, including New York City Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Company, Elisa Monte Dance, Pennsylvania/Milwaukee Ballet, Twyla Tharp Dance, Robert LaFosse and Stars of New York City Ballet, the Feld Ballet, Lucinda Childs Dance, and Jennifer Muller/The Works. He has served as Production Supervisor and/or Lighting Supervisor with the following international companies for their US Tours: Bavarian State Ballet, La Scala Opera Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Hero and The Last Empress from South Korea, and Paris Opera Ballet. In 2009, Mr. Mongold supervised the construction and painting of the scenery for Karole Armitage’s Itutu.
Mr. Mongold's work has taken him to all 50 states and 15 countries in North and South America, Australia, New Zeeland, Asia, and Europe. His lighting designs have been seen in many regional theatres, including, The Practical Theatre, Northlight Repertory, The Organic Theatre, The Wisdom Bridge Theatre, and in Pennsylvania’s Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble's productions of Light Up the Sky, A Christmas Carol, Peter Pan, and Night Must Fall. He served as Assistant Production Manager for New York City Ballet from 1989 through 2000. He is currently the Director of Production at New York City Center Theater where he has supervised all productions since 2000. Mr. Mongold has been the Production Manager of the annual Fall for Dance Festival at NYCC since its inception in 2004. Mr. Mongold is a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
