Ray Pierce entered the world of entertainment at the age of twelve, not with backyard theatricals, but rather on a professional stage crew at Casa Manana in Ft. Worth, Texas learning the intricacies of theatrical lighting, scenic design and rigging from the top professionals in the area. At 15, Ray began studying rigging to follow his training in trampoline and stunt work. His technical training took him led him to working in various theme parks around the country eventually landing in Hollywood, CA where he continued perfecting his skills on stages and in the motion picture studios. Ray now brings his innovative rigging knowledge to others as the founder of his rigging and Production Company, Hollywood Aerial Arts where he designs and overseas the rigging of a multitude of television shows, commercials and films. On January 2nd 2006 Ray’s work was seen by over 500 million people worldwide when he directed, choreographed and rigged the opening to the Tournament of Roses Parade with dozens of performers, aerialists, musicians and starring LeAnn Rimes in a spectacular tribute to magic and fun. His combination of rigging experience and on camera charisma have made him a mainstay with so many Hollywood production companies. He has personally rigged and appeared as himself on dozens of contemporary news, entertainment and reality shows including “E! Hollywood’s Sandexiest Jobs”, “The Girls Next Door”, “VH1 The Fabulous Life”, “Extra”, “Chelsea Lately”, “G4TV’s The Attack of the Show”, “Celebrity Fit Club”, MTV’s “Tough Enough” and many more, as well as training and flying so many celebrities such as Seth Rogan, Channing Tatum, Reba McEntire, Heidi Klum, Will Arnett, Stacy Keach, Patton Oswalt, Salma Hayack, Chelsea Handler, Christina Applegate, Gary Busey, Lilly Tomlin, Rita Wilson, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Sinbad, Danielle Fishel, Victoria Jackson, Jackee’ Harry, Finesse Mitchel, Willie Ames, Leeza Gibbons and many others.
