Kevin Dreyer
Professor
Kevin Dreyer is a professional lighting designer, a professor of lighting design and a member of the United Scenic Artists. Dreyer’s designs for theatre, opera, and dance have been seen throughout the U.S. and in Europe, South America, and Asia with such companies as Paris Opera Ballet, La Compañia Nacional, Opera Teresa Carreño, Ballet du Nord, Momix, ISO, DanzaHoy, ABT, Giordano Dance Chicago, the Joffrey Ballet, and Ballet West. His design work in Venezuela was nominated for a national critic’s award, and he has been heralded as a Dzwizard lighting designerdz by the Village Voice. The New York Times called his work with the Joffrey Ballet Dzbrilliantdzand it is featured in Robert Altman feature film, The Company. Dreyer is an associate professor and serves as Director of Theatre for the University of Notre Dame where he has been on the theatre faculty since 1989. He lives in northern Indiana where he and with his wife have raised three daughters.
