Eric Rouse

Director of Product Development
Eric Rouse is the Head of Product Development for Chicago Flyhouse. At Flyhouse he is charged with bringing new technologies and ideas to reality. He is also one of the main rigging trainers for the company and does training for Celebrity and Royal Caribbean cruise lines. Eric has been doing rigging training for over ten years, and performs training for Columbus Mckinnon, Disney World, Orange County Convention Center, Cirque du Soleil, Le Reve, Thomas Truss, Mountain Productions, and IATSE Locals 1 & 4 in NY. Prior to Flyhouse, he was the technical director for the Tony Award-winning Denver Center Theatre Company where he managed all of the scenic construction and installations for a 14-show season. He has worked for Flying by Foy as a project manager and flying director, and Cirque du Soleil as lead rigger for maintenance for the show "O" at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. He spent 10 years as a professor and head of the BFA and MFA in Scenic Technology at Penn State University. Eric is an ETCP certified rigger and recognized trainer.
