N206

$425.00 ($525.00 after 9/14) Class Limit: 24/one person per computer (no laptops allowed) This intensive, one-day hands-on seminar provides a solid introduction to using Vectorworks for technical production. This is not a class on how to draw a light plot: Don Ward’s half-day light plot tutorial on Friday or Saturday is the perfect follow-up to this course and covers the light plot features in Vectorworks Spotlight. Topics for this course include CAD drafting basics, designing on-screen with a combination of 2D and 3D modeling tools, creating a simple design complete with finished floor plans, a 3D model, and elevation views. Learn the technique of using the same data model for construction plans and design presentation. Target Audience: Live event and lighting designers interested in learning the basics of Vectorworks Prerequisites: You must know the basics of how to use a computer and you must know the basics of pencil drafting or have experience with another CAD system. Taught by: Frank Brault of Vectoworks Inc, creators of the Vectorworks Spotlight. (Frank's full-day advanced design tutorial on Thursday is the perfect follow-up to this course!).
