Vic Wagner

Victor Wagner is a touring front-of-house system engineer with Sound-Image. He has worked with Sound-Image in this capacity for nearly a decade. Most recently, he was system engineer on the Tom Petty and Heartbreakers 40th Anniversary Tour visiting major arenas, amphitheaters and MLB stadiums in North America deploying EAW Adaptive Systems. As front-of-house systems engineer for this iconic rock tour in 2017, his responsibilities included, system design in close conjunction with the FOH mixer (Robert Scovill), touring rigger and scenic designer and the manufacture; Dante and AVB network infrastructure topology; shop preparations of the system; 3D room data collection, drawing and verification suitable for accurate and repeatable use in EAW’s Resolution prediction and deployment software; system scaling for safe and optimal deployment for large and small venues; On a daily basis on tour, he was responsible for network and system verification; time alignment and tuning for consistent coverage throughout the venue; and system monitoring and maintenance during performance. In addition to his full-time responsibility of touring system engineer with Sound-Image, Victor is involved in the system design and specification for other large tours, offers consultation, and conducts training to touring and sound reinforcement professionals loudspeakers for a variety of professional loudspeaker manufactures. Having been professionally involved in the touring sound reinforcement industry for 15 year, Victor has worked as system engineer and crew chief on a variety of large world tours including Sia, Zac Brown Band, Linkin Park, Kid Rock and Taylor Swift to name a few. He studied sound reinforcement and transducer acoustics and earned a Bachelors of Arts from Columbia College Chicago. He resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
