Lighting Control Systems Designs in the Real World

This panel focuses on the different methods used in designing, installing, and running a lighting control network. The panelists will describe the lighting requirements, the reasons behind their network design, and what did and didn’t work for a specific show they did. Topics include type of Ethernet switches and cable used, placement and type of DMX nodes, implementations of Artnet and sACN, wireless DMX, backup consoles, multiuser programming, and redundancy plans. The case studies include the work on the panelists on a feature film, concert tour, a concert festival, a nightclub, and an awards show.
